The Project Working Committee “Terms of Reference” is a document that describes the roles and responsibilities of the committee in running the project that include all five phases of the project management life cycle. Project working committee will be involved in project initiation, planning, execution, control and closing the project. Change Management processes includes planning, organizing, controlling, executing and monitoring changes that affect Information Technology infrastructure and service delivery. Change Management encompasses all components and activities required to administer additions, modifications and deletions to systems, network, processes, and environmental facilities of an organization IT Infrastructure.
Project Sponsor and/or Steering Committee shall perform a formal review at the end of each project phases i.e at the end of project initiation phase, project planning phase, project monitoring and control phase, and before closing the project.
Regardless of the size or complexity of the project, it is important to measure the success of a particular project against well-defined criteria. The criteria that are defined within the Project Business Plan will help to determine whether the project meet its target objectives, such as the degree to which the target outcomes have been achieved, the delivery of outputs and the level of adherence to project scope, time, cost, and quality.
Why would you develop a Project Review and Evaluation Report?
A review undertaken at the end of each project phase provides valuable information to the Project Sponsor and/or Steering Committee to assist them in making an informed decision before proceeding to the next phase of the project life cyle. It captures the lessons learnt which will benefit the organisation in future projects. Undertaking a review at completion of each phase in the project life cycle provides an opportunity for an organisation to continuously improve the way they manage projects.
